Starting with picture quality, LG's UF9400 features ColorPrime with quantum dot (QD) technology. ColorPrime technology gives a viewing experience filled with hues and shades never seen before on a TV. By managing the wavelength of the QD particles, a higher, more lifelike color reproduction range can be achieved, one that exceeds BT.709 parameters by more than 130%. Now, you'll see greater realism and depth as this hidden beauty comes alive. When combined with the impressive 3840 x 2160p resolution and IPS 4K panel technology, the set will deliver a wider viewing angle and expansive color palette.
ColorPrime technology utilizes uncommon LED phosphor colors and thicker filters, which magnify the range of colors compared to conventional TVs. Blue LED combined with red and green phosphors-instead of conventional yellow phosphor-boosts the pureness of colors. LG's IPS technology prevents the color shift problem that plagues other systems at horizontal viewing angles. Contrast ratio retention is excellent, making it possible to render the much deeper blacks needed for truly breathtaking images, even with off-axis viewing.
LG's newly upgraded proprietary smart TV platform, webOS 2.0*, is even more user-friendly than its predecessor, letting users explore the system's full potential in intuitive ways. Booting time has been reduced by up to 60 percent and connectivity to external devices is even more effortless than before. What's more, users can customize their own menus on the Launcher Bar for a more personalized experience.
