The P500 gas grill by Napoleon is built to last. It resists rust and other corrosion. The body of this grill isn't the only part that will stand the test of time. The porcelainized cast iron cooking grids are specially coated to resist rust. They season just like your favorite cast iron frying pan too. The unique WAVE pattern cradles food for even heating with the added bonus that it is harder for small food to fall through. Better still, these cooking grids are reversible. The reverse side of the cast iron grids has a broader surface with a groove. This groove fills with the juices from the food being cooked, holding those juices in place. This is good for grilling tougher cuts of meat that tend to dry out.
If the durable body and cast iron cooking grids weren't enough, the Prestige P500 Gas Grill has staggered sear plates made from premium stainless steel as well. This unique design presents increased surface area for grease to vaporize for increased flavor. An added benefit is that the P500's sear plates are super easy to clean. There is nowhere for grease and gunk to collect. And if anything does get past these sear plates, there is a full width drip pan to catch it.
