Maytag MDB7851AWBFull Console Dishwasher with 4 Wash Cycles, Delay Start, High Temp Wash: Black

I've had this Dishwasher for almost 9 years. It's still working as well as it did the first day. I have not needed any service on it. So many features and options. Love this washer.

The dishwasher control panel is clear and easy to use. The layout of the design of the racks is poor and really diminishes the amount of dishes that can be washed at one time. Plates are not well supported and fall over each other. Not laid out well for drinking glasses.Wife has noticed that some dishes have not been clean. I don't believe we have used the steam feature as we typically have both glass and plastic in the same load.The bottom rack will not slide back into the machine unless the door is almost open to the maximum.I believe the store display touted the level of quietness for this machine. It has not lived up to that, especially when the the machine is pumping water out.

I bought this out of brand loyalty. I had family members that worked for Maytag many years. Still own the Neptune W/D and a refrigerator that I bought in 2005. I had to have a compressor replaced in that just before warranty expired. The dishwasher started smelling hot and suddenly shorted out and now it is dead. I had purchased it to replace the dishwasher that came with my home and wanted eventually to have all Maytag appliances. Now washing dishes by hand and wondering what to replace it with.
