Bertazzoni Induction Cooktops at Plesser's Appliances

Bertazzoni induction cooktops, available at Plesser's Appliances, install into a countertop cutout as a flat glass surface with no grates or burners to work around. Built in Emilia-Romagna since 1882, they deliver the fastest and most responsive cooking surface in the lineup with the easiest cleanup.

Immediate, Precise Heat
Induction puts energy directly into the pan rather than heating air around it, so water boils faster than on gas and a setting change registers immediately. At the low end it holds a steady temperature without cycling, making it genuinely capable at melting and long simmers. The usable range from high to low is wider than most cooks expect.

Flexible and Bridge Zones
Flexible or bridge zones combine two adjacent areas into one larger cooking surface for a griddle, roasting pan, or long fish pan. Zone sizes, bridge availability, and power-sharing behavior vary by model and width — confirm on the spec sheet, since power-sharing affects what you can run simultaneously at full output.

Flat Surface, Cool Kitchen
A continuous glass surface with no crevices wipes clean in a pass, and because the surface heats only by pan contact, spills do not bake on. Less waste heat escapes into the room, which is noticeable in a small kitchen in summer. Ventilation is still required — steam, smoke, and grease remain.

Cookware Requirements
Induction works only with magnetic cookware. A refrigerator magnet that sticks to the pan base is the test; aluminum, copper, and most glass will not work. Anyone switching from gas should plan for replacing part of their cookware — a real cost worth accounting for at specification rather than after installation.

Electrical, Cutout, and Clearance Planning
Induction cooktops need dedicated high-amperage 240V service, the most common obstacle in older homes — have an electrician confirm panel capacity before ordering. Cutout dimensions, countertop material compatibility, and required clearance below for ventilation vary by model. Talk to the team at Plesser's Appliances about electrical requirements and cutout specs before the countertop is templated.
