Cafe Range Hoods

Café Range Hoods at Plesser's Appliances

Café range hoods, available at Plesser's Appliances, are designed to match the brand's ranges and rangetops in width, finish, and hardware, so the cooking wall reads as one coordinated installation.

Sizing Capacity to the Cooking Surface
Hood capacity must be matched to the output of the range or rangetop below, and Café's professional-style burners produce far more heat, moisture, and grease-laden air than standard residential ones. Hood width should meet or exceed the cooking surface. Ask about the recommended pairing rather than working from width alone.

Matched Finish and Hardware
The hood is the second most visible appliance on a cooking wall, and on a Café installation with brushed bronze or copper hardware, a plain stainless hood breaks the composition. Café hoods carry the same finish and accent options as the ranges. Specify both together at order.

Chef Connect Automatic Operation
Chef Connect syncs the hood with a compatible Café range so the hood light and fan turn on automatically when a burner is lit. In practice that means ventilation actually gets used rather than forgotten. Confirm compatibility between the specific hood and range you are specifying.

Filtration, Lighting, and Noise
Stainless baffle filters handle grease capture and are dishwasher-safe on most models, with LED lighting and multiple fan speeds. Confirm filter type and noise ratings alongside capacity, since a hood too loud to run on high gets run on low.

Duct Routing, Blowers, and Installation Planning
Duct diameter, run length, and elbow count all reduce delivered capacity, so design for the shortest straight route. Blower options and whether a blower ships with the hood vary, so confirm what is included. Mounting height and, on high-capacity installations, make-up air requirements need settling with your builder before framing.
