GE Ice Makers at Plesser's Appliances

GE ice makers, available at Plesser's Appliances, produce and store ice on demand without taking capacity from the refrigerator. The lineup includes undercounter built-in units and the GE Profile Opal countertop nugget ice maker.

Dedicated Ice Production
A standalone ice maker produces substantially more ice per day than a refrigerator's ice compartment and puts it where drinks are actually made. For entertaining, that is the difference between a full bin and running out mid-evening. Confirm daily production and bin capacity against your expected volume.

Nugget Ice
The GE Profile Opal produces nugget ice — soft, chewable, and quick to chill a drink — on the countertop with no installation. It has a devoted following for a reason. Undercounter units produce conventional cubes in larger volume. Which you want depends on how you use ice.

Countertop or Built-In
A countertop unit plugs in and runs from a reservoir you fill. A built-in undercounter unit connects to a water line and runs continuously at much higher production. The countertop route suits a kitchen or office; the built-in route suits a bar or serious entertaining.

Filtration and Maintenance
Ice takes on whatever is in the water it is made from, and mineral buildup affects ice makers over time. Ask about filtration, cleaning cycles, and descaling requirements for your model, since maintenance determines how long an ice maker performs well.

Plumbing and Installation Planning
Built-in units require a dedicated circuit, a water supply line, and depending on model a drain or condensate pump. Countertop units need only an outlet and clearance. Talk to the team at Plesser's Appliances about configuration, ice type, production, and rough-in before ordering.
