Burner Performance
Sealed burners deliver high output for searing and fast boiling alongside low settings for simmering. Sealed construction keeps spills on the cooktop surface rather than letting them drop into a burner box. Confirm burner count and output for your width.

Integrated Downdraft Option
Select JennAir gas cooktops include built-in downdraft ventilation, the technology JennAir invented. It captures smoke and steam at the surface for an island where an overhead hood is not an option. Confirm whether your model includes it and its capacity relative to burner output.

Cast Iron Grates
Heavy cast iron grates take daily use and lift out for cleaning, with continuous designs letting cookware slide across the surface rather than lifting between burners. Confirm the grate configuration.

Cabinetry Freedom Below
Because a cooktop is shallow relative to a rangetop, usable drawers or cabinet space stay available directly beneath it, and the oven can go into a wall stack at a comfortable height. Downdraft models use some of that space for the blower.
