LG Induction Cooktops at Plesser's Appliances

LG induction cooktops, available at Plesser's Appliances, install into a countertop cutout as a flat glass surface that heats the pan rather than the surface.

Immediate, Precise Heat
Induction puts energy directly into the cookware, so water boils faster than on gas and a setting change registers immediately. At the low end it holds a steady temperature without cycling. The usable range is wider than most cooks expect.

Zone Layout and Flexible Areas
Bridge or flexible areas on select models combine zones for a griddle or long pan. Some configurations share power across zones, which affects what you can run at full output at once. Confirm the layout on the spec sheet.

Flat Surface, Cool Kitchen, Safer Surface
A continuous glass surface wipes clean in a pass, and because the surface stays relatively cool, spills do not bake on. Pan detection prevents heating with nothing on a zone, and control lock is standard on most models.

Cookware Requirements
Induction works only with magnetic cookware. A magnet that sticks to the pan base is the test, and aluminum, copper, and most glass will not work. Plan for replacing part of your cookware.

Electrical, Cutout, and Clearance Planning
Induction cooktops need dedicated high-amperage 240V service, the most common obstacle in older Long Island homes. Have an electrician confirm panel capacity. Talk to the team at Plesser's Appliances about electrical requirements and cutout specs before the countertop is templated.
