Speed Queen Front Load Washers at Plesser's Appliances

Speed Queen front load washers, available at Plesser's Appliances, bring laundromat engineering to the front-load format. Designed and assembled in Ripon, Wisconsin by Alliance Laundry Systems, the FF7 front load is built on the commercial platforms Speed Queen supplies to coin laundries and institutions, and tested to a 25-year design life.

Commercial Front-Load Engineering
Front loaders take more abuse than top loaders — the drum carries load off-center and spins at high speed — which is why residential front-load failures cluster around bearings and suspension. Speed Queen's front load is built on the platform used in machines that run dozens of cycles a day. That is the reason to specify one here rather than a conventional residential unit.

Dynamic Balancing and High Spin Speeds
Dynamic balancing distributes the load before and during the spin cycle, which allows high extraction speeds without the machine walking or shaking the floor. More water removed in the spin means less time in the dryer, which saves energy on the drying side. This matters most on an upper floor or over a crawlspace where vibration transfers.

Water and Energy Efficiency
Front loaders tumble clothes through a shallow pool of water rather than filling a full tub, using substantially less water and less energy to heat it than a traditional agitator top loader. They also handle fabrics more gently, without an agitator working through the load. The trade-off is longer cycle times than a Classic Clean top loader.

Pet Plus and Cycle Options
The Pet Plus cycle addresses pet hair and dander, which a standard cycle does not remove well and which a front loader is otherwise good at trapping. Fast cycle options cover everyday loads. Confirm the full cycle list and capacity against the current spec sheet for the model you are considering.

Installation, Stacking, and Warranty
Front load washers can be stacked with a matching Speed Queen dryer using the correct stack kit, or installed side by side on pedestals. Installation requires water supply, drain, and appropriate electrical, and these machines are heavy — measure the delivery path, not just the alcove. Front loaders also need the door left ajar between loads to prevent odor. Warranty term covers parts and in-home labor; confirm current terms with the team at Plesser's Appliances.
