Thermador Column Freezers

Thermador Column Freezers at Plesser's Appliances

Thermador column freezers, available at Plesser's Appliances, are full-height dedicated freezer cabinets from the Freedom Collection, built to be specified alongside Thermador refrigerator and wine columns as part of a continuous cabinetry run.

Full-Height Dedicated Freezing
A column freezer devotes an entire full-height cabinet to frozen food, with no refrigerator compartment sharing space or airflow. Capacity is not divided and the cabinet runs at its own setpoint. For households that buy in volume or store game and seafood, this is the practical case.

The Freedom Collection
Thermador's Freedom Collection columns are designed to install in nearly any arrangement — side by side, separated, or combined with refrigerator and wine columns — so the kitchen can be laid out around independent zones rather than a single combined appliance. That flexibility is the reason to specify the system.

Temperature Stability Top to Bottom
In a tall cabinet, stratification is the failure mode to avoid. Air circulation holds a consistent setpoint from top to bottom, and electronic controls prevent drift between compressor cycles. Fewer swings means less freezer burn on food held long term.

Full-Extension Drawers and Interior
Column interiors use full-extension drawers and shelving rated for loaded compartments, with LED lighting throughout. Confirm drawer configuration and whether automatic ice production is included.

Panels, Openings, and Installation Planning
Columns are built-in units requiring a framed opening, a dedicated circuit, and in some configurations a water line, with panel-ready and stainless options. Because columns are specified during cabinetry design, panel decisions should be settled early.
