Full Overhead Capture
Heat, steam, and grease rise, and an overhead hood catches them where they naturally go — substantially more effective than a downdraft on the same surface, particularly with tall stockpots and outer burners. If ventilation performance matters and the ceiling can carry a hood, this is the configuration to specify.

Finished on Every Side
Unlike a wall hood with a hidden back, an island hood is a freestanding object in the middle of the room, visible from all directions and at eye level from the adjoining space. Sizing Capacity and Capture Width
