I purchased this hood for my new kitchen. While the ventilation is great, the fluorescent light doesn't give off enough light. I still like the hood, but make sure you see this fan installed and can check out the light before you purchase it.

while this hood looks nice, it is underpowered for the price, and I would look elsewhere for reliabilty - the speed control failed at 1.5 years in, just out of warranty. Considering the premium that comes with the Bosch name, you would expect either higher reliability or a longer warranty period.
