We got this (as well as a Bosch dishwasher, gas cooktop and electric oven) when we completely remodeled our house in 2007. First, and foremost, this is NOT a built in microwave. It is a countertop unit with a metal bracket glued to the top & side (as seen in pic), which is hidden by the vent covers when it is installed. It was our main kitchen microwave (it was installed above our regular oven) for 7 years, with no technical issues whatsoever. We had a house fire in 2014, at which time the undamaged unit was removed and that's when it was discovered that, as mentioned above, it's actually a countertop model. It was put in storage for about a year. Our house was completely rebuilt and we ended up keeping this unit as a second microwave in our guest room. So, this microwave is now nearly a decade old and still works perfectly, even after surviving a house fire.

I was looking up troubleshooting guides and noticed all the reviews were the same, slam the door to get it to turn on. Microwave trips the breaker. I did have a Bosch tech do a repair on this already. Right now, totally dead. Thought maybe outlet was bad, but cleared that. Not sure it's worth it to repair. And it seems like customer service, from reading the reviews is really bad and I unhelpful. I have a Bosch dishwasher and oven too, that are fine. Just not sure what to do and find the same size one to fit in the space.

The door doesn't close properly and hence would not turn on. Do not buy this product.
