I needed to replace an old cooktop in my countertop. Most everything I looked at had the features we wanted, but were too small. The existing cutout was larger than the overall size of the new cooktops. I was so pleased to find this Bosch model, which has all the features we wanted, and, needed only a minor modification to the cutout to meet Bosch' specs and to provide the best support to the cooktop. I expected to spend hundreds more to get what we wanted/needed but this model came within our budget.

The cooktop was a huge step up from our 15 year old GE. We went with normal electric, rather than convection due to our pots and pans. It will boil a large stock pot in 10 mins. All the burners are ultra presise and have half settings. We are very happy with our Bosch 800 Cooktop
