Been using this cooktop in 2023, for about a couple months now, and loving it. Very sleek! We replaced the 18+yrs of KitchenAid 4 burner cooktop which had phenomenal working features embedded into it that long ago, which is quite amazing imo so my comments here might be relating to the past cooktop features and therefore might be biased. Fair warning :)! Anyways, coming back to this item cooking elements are all wonderful! Packing five burners within this space is a remarkable innovation. However, I'm still getting used to the striped surface in this; it appears smooth at the top but while cleaning it is a bit of a hassel. My main feedback is regarding the switch panel. Almost two decades ago, they managed to keep a compact and highly effective switch panel. This cooktop has a long strip of a switch panel with one on/off control for all elements(bummer) with 5 different selectors for each element separated(why). What we felt frustrated with was every time you need to work one element's controls while working on multiple elements you have to select the element first then go to strip to adjust controls for that element again come back to select another element go back to the strip to adjust it and so on. This is a very dumb idea for such a highly advanced cooktop. Because if the 5 selectors already are provided with on/off feature on them then there's no need for so many going back and forth manuevering which is very frustrating, I cook a lot and frequently. I'm not writing this lightly, it could have been made with better engineering and design. Other than that this item will get a five star! I believe this model is now discontinued but the newer model also had the same controls feature so we ended up buying this item in a closing deal at half off of the original price! Still, Bosch you could have removed some of these unnecessary frustrations for the consumer and the entire cooking experience would have been a top notch! I bought both cooktop and combination oven because we love love loved the Bosch dishwasher so became a huge fan of the brand :-)!
