After more than 11 years of daily use my Bosch is at the end of its life. It replaced a different, much more expensive dishwasher where the plastic baskets fell apart after only 3-4 years of use. This machine still has all plastic in tact. It has done the number one most important job - cleaning my dishes - faithfully and very very well for 11 plus years. This has been the best dishwasher ever and will be replaced with another Bosch. This dishwasher does not have a heating ring in the bottom and it does not bother me that the plastic is not always dry (nothing that a quick wipe or letting it sit out for a little won't fix). Plastic can now go everywhere (even bottom rack) and no more "melted" items that fall through. I can understand how this could bother someone so do your research but if your number one goal is CLEAN dishes for many years in a row wow buy a BOSCH.

Our new Bosch dishwasher is everything we could want. It is energy efficient and oh so quiet! Highly recommend it.

The dishwasher works like a charm! The dishes are clean and dry, even the plastic containers are dry at the end of the cycle. When the cycle is on there is a red light that shines on the floor, which is very helpful since the diswasher is super quiet.
