I'm highly satisfied with Broan's stainless steel pyramidal chimney range hood. Installation instructions are comprehensive and I found them to be precise. At 30" in width, it is a space-conscious solution that performs well under pressure. It features touch controls, two light settings (low is bright, bright is blinding... which is a good thing), and quiet operation. It is ideal for a standard size range and provides a mind-numbing 640 CFM exhaust rating. If I had two ranges, I would still be far into the clear for safe air quality. I appreciate that there is a vent-free package, sold separately, for kitchens that are lacking in ductwork such as mine. This optional kit makes all the difference by effectively filtering the air without needing external exhaust. I found the flue to be of an appropriate size for my ceilings, which are just short of 9 feet. I think the remote should have been included, but it's not a dealbreaker, or in any way necessary for operation. A range hood does far more than complete a kitchen's look. It makes a measurable difference in air quality, which has a direct impact on overall health. Indoor pollution can be anywhere from 2 to 5 times more intense than outdoor pollution, according to the EPA. A commercial kitchen, and/or intensively used household kitchen, should have a minimum 350 CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating for exhaust. It's a little more complicated than that, but that gives you an estimate to start with. This range hood can handle holiday-level cooking every day of the year, just give the filter a check-up every so often. It's more than a sleek piece of eye candy for your cooking space; it helps to ensure both good air quality and health for years to come.

This stainless steel hood has been a welcome addition to my kitchen. The stainless steel finish matches all of my appliances. It is extremely effective in removing unwanted smoke and scents from my kitchen.

This vent range hood is immaculate. The quality is excellent. The amount of steam and scent it removes from the kitchen while cooking is great. With an open concept living area whatever is usually cooking seems to end up smelling everywhere, but not so much any more!
