We really cook so this is an excellent addition in my kitchen. If the gas burners get really hot the hood has a sensor and increases the fan/draw automatically. I love how it looks in my Kitchen.

I wanted to replace a over the range microwave with a good quality exhaust hood as I upgraded to a natural gas range. And the microwave fans weren't getting the job done pulling out the heat from the new range. Did a lot of research, and settled on this unit for a variety of reasons. Versatile install options, easy install, high CFM, great quality, and finally bang for the buck. It looks and performs as advertised. The only trivial thing is the fan only has 2 speeds. Low and turbo. It could probably use 3 speeds for added versatility.

This is everything we wanted in a fume hood, except the halogen lights. However, most of them have this type of lighting (why not LED?). So all things considered we thought this was the best bang for our buck. Honestly I'm not sure if the liner that I listed below is the exact one that we got, but if they all install as easily it doesn't matter.
