Replaced a similarly rated unit (50 pints/day) from another manufacturer (failed after 18 months). Besides being quieter, it was noticeably more effective, drying out our entire unfinished basement within a few hours.

Very happy with my danby DAR017A2BDD. It is very reliable and doesn't run very often. It isn't a problem when it is running though, as it is very quiet.

I had a small area and this fridge fit it just right. I had tried the compressor free kind they last for a little while. Went thru a couple, will not get that kind any more. Love the Danby, it is one of the top 10 fridge. Works great.
