I bought this dryer to replace a 20 year old Whirlpool dryer. I chose it for the sanitize feature since we kept our old washer which does not have that setting. I was impressed from the first load! The clothes were dry in one cycle, where our old dryer took two or three.
This dryer truly works. I don't have to wait with clothes in the washer for the dryer to finish. This machine will save on energy costs since in automatic mode, it will stop when the clothes reach the desired level of dryness.
The dryer is also quieter than our old one. The only thing I don't totally like is that when you use the cycle selector, not all settings are available with each cycle. This is not a big deal since typical loads can be done with just two presses of a button using the preprogrammed settings.

I replaced a 25 yr old Kenmore dryer with a new Affinity dryer almost 2 months ago. I am very happy with my new dryer and the various options it offers as well as the performance it delivers.
The pedestal (which is needed with the current design) was included in a promotional package we purchased. If I were to redesign the unit, I would lower the height of the dryer and eliminate the storage unit so that a surface area for folding clothes on top of the washer was available.
Hope it lasts as long as my old dryer@
