MY last Frigidaire Window AC lasted 29 years, but again I only used it at night to sleep and in the hottest 3 summer months where I live in the Southwest. All summer I had evaporative cooling, but I used this at night to sleep. My older Frigidaire unit would shutoff completely when it reached a certain temperature, this newer once does not do that, the fan keeps running. Still though it is a excellent buy. It runs well and cools very fast. I will be recommending this unit to me friends.
