My ADER70LRL2 has been doing a great job in my basement for at least 3 years now. It's not the quietest dehumidifier but they all are fairly loud while operating. I clean the bucket regularly and if you notice a performance drop check the filter. I think this purchase was a good one.

I have owned this model for a week now, and it's making easy work of keeping my 1000 sq ft residence dry and comfortable. An additional benefit is the nice warm air that is exhausted when the compressor is on. Very efficient, quiet, and reliable. Large water container requires infrequent emptying. I also really like the control panel and digital display for set humidity level and current humidity. Way to go GE! I always buy GE and recommend to my friends, family, and co-workers.
