This AC unit is quiet and efficient and it cools the space it was designed for very adequately. Living in New England area where AC is only required around 60 days out of the year and out of those 60 days, the AC is only needed about 6 hours a day. If you're careful with your spending, You can save 10-20 thousand by not installing central Air. You can cool sufficiently with window units and save a huge amount of cash.

This AC is perfect for my room. the efficiency is much better than my last window unit and i couldn't be happier with this unit.

The unit is heavy but it works great. The window it's in is small (22") so didn't use the side panels. Have a fairly large old house and keep it on energy saver in an upstairs BR....with the downstairs ceiling fans on, it still cools the whole house and gets rid of humidity in this 90 degree weather. Love it! Hope it lasts as long as another GE AC I bought back in the 90s that's still running!
