The old unit removed was almost 10 years old, and had to be replaced due to normal wear and tear. I was also told that it was due to the high heat of this particular summer that caused the components to overheat and short circuit. This is a newer model, and works even better than the one prior. Hoping to get at least 10 years or more out of this one.
