After months of price shopping, review reading, and sizing, I purchased this GE Profile product. The form and function of this cooktop is bar none, one of the finest products you can own! This particular model borders artwork with the bare glass edge and the heavy stainless steel, dishwasher safe, knobs. It's minimalistic approach to decor is simple, yet elegant. It matches the stainless steel range hood I installed and brings the kitchen together both aesthetically and functionally. The bridge element is especially nice as it allows for use of a griddle. The only drawback, if you can call it one, is that it shows dirt and grease easily. Black is a hard color to keep clean. It's a small trade off considering the speed at which this unit heats up and the value of functionality with elegance.
