We purchased the his refrigerator in 2005. It is a nice fridge. It stopped working out of the blue. Not sure if it is part of recall or other. Water stopped dispensing 3 yrs after purchase changed filter but still no change. Have no idea what this is all about since ice is OK. Will find out after service call. Fingers crossed. Fridges used to last 20yrs thus one barely made 10,
Other than the problems I truly like the fridge.

I agree with the over review about fridges used to last a lot longer. We bought this around 2005 as well. There was a part that I paid for replacement that later ended up being part of a recall and should have been free. Now, for the last couple of years, ice is forming on the wall shared with the freezer and then water pools at the bottom when it thaws. There's also black mold that won't stop growing no matter how much we clean it out. This will be our last GE Profile refrigerator.
