So far so good

Simple and easy to use. My tenant has called twice complaining that during the "wash" cycle the agitator moves very slowly. His impression is that something must be wrong. I tried it out tonight and set regular setting and he is right that it is very quiet and barely shifts the laundry. I even changed it to an easier setting and the agitator moves even less. Almost minimal movement of the clothes. He thought the belt must be bad but this product is almost new. I waited until it drained and then started spinning rather quickly. Seems like everything is fine. Is this normal??? My washer at home moves the clothes around better in the wash cycle with the tub full of water. The specs advertise that it is gentle with clothes but barely moving them is a dramatic difference from my older coin washers in the buildings. Maybe someone from GE or another owner could answer this???
