We have had our washer for over 5 years. Never once have we had to call a repair man.First of all this is not a machine for a family. Secondly this machine is not for people that do their washing once or twice a week. We put the amount of laundry the manual states. Thirdly this is a very very very low energy consumption machine. 110v No venting required. We put our needs in the morning with a splash of vinegar to the laundry soap and when we get home the laundry is perfect every time. Read the instruction before buying and if you are environmentally conscious this is for you.

I personally love it. It leaves clothes clean and it dries them super duper. I'm happy with my HAIER. It's difficult to understand but once you study it well you will love it.

As I suspected, any reviews screaming that "IT DOESN'T DRY ANYTHING" are obviously not following the Haier recommendations and instructions. If you fill the drum only half way, as instructed, your clothes will come out perfectly dry! I love the easy to use display and the various customizations. It runs super quiet and washes and dries almost every load I put in within 3-3.5 hours. I haven't had any problem with the locking mechanism for the dryer cooldown. Again, don't overload the machine and I'm sure that problem will be avoided! All in all, it's a perfect unit for 1-2 people. I do a load every day or two and it's great. Of course, I wish it were big enough to handle bedding/quilts, but this was one of the only ventless all-in-one units in stock and in my price range! I'll just have to make a monthly trip to the laundromat to do all the big blankets, which is no problem. I'm super glad I went ahead and got this unit. I saved a good bit of money and it does what I need it to do!
