I had a old Lg that was always loud and sometimes did ok job cooling. This unit is quieter and cools much faster. The hose is sturdier than my LG too
My only drawback to this unit is that it's top fan only with no oscillation. Thankfully my ceiling fan helps move the cold air

We live close to the bay so it's extremely humid here in the summer but this unit is keeping our approximately 400 ft., combination living and dining room nice and cool. Even the adjoining kitchen is cooler. It's a little loud but no louder than than the 6000 BTU window unit in our bedroom. I also like that this unit is smaller and more compact than many of its competitors for the same BTUs. In other words it doesn't look like a refrigerator in the living room!
