We recently downsized and moved into a 780 square foot home and needless to say we also have a very small kitchen area. Our older fridge was just enormous looking and needed to downsize our refrigerator as well. While vacationing in FIJI, we were introduced to HAIER as that was in our condo. We loved the smaller size and did the research and found that the HAIER brand is highly rated in the South Pacific and other places where the energy grid could not support full sized fridges. This turned out to be a perfect fit for our new home. At 28" wide and true counter depth it just blends in with kitchen. We had also bought the ice maker to go with it which fits in the top half of 2 freezer drawers. Obviously, the storage space in the fridge and freezer is limited, but with it just being the two of us the majority of the time, this has not been an issue. Our larger fridge which was only 4 years old before the compressor went out is in our shop and is still waiting for the service techs to come and get it working again. When that is accomplished we will have a larger refrigerator to store extra foods for when we have family gatherings. With that being said, the HAIER is the perfect remedy for our situation.

Our HAIER we just bought is exactly what we wanted. We are grandparents who live alone in a 780 square foot house and needless to say, a very small kitchen. At 28" wide and true counter depth gives our kitchen a more balanced look and not have that overwhelming refresh gator look when entering the house and kitchen. The smudge free stainless steel surface is the best yet on keeping the surface clean and as a plus, it is magnetic, photos and recipes can actually attach to fridge, front and sides. We bought the ice maker which fits in the top drawer and takes half of its space. This still leaves 1 1/2 freezer drawers, and that is enough freezer space for normal usage. We moved our other behemoth fridge into the shop for storing larger volumes of food and drink for when we have gatherings. The reason we started researching HAIER is the condo we stayed in while we were vacationing in FIJI had them. We were impressed and also found that HAIER was one of the top of the line fridge maker's in the South Pacific and Europe. Those places do not have the energy grid to support all the larger fridges, so they have plenty of practice making smaller ones to fit their needs.

I love my new refrigerator! Specially the counter space.
