KitchenAid KCID936SBL Features
Assisted Cooking Presets
Let you quickly set your cooktop to the optimal temperatures you need—from melting delicate chocolate (42°C/108°F), to keeping rich sauces warm (74°C/165°F), or even simmering soups, stews, and rice (94°C/201°F).
Bridge Xl Even-heat™ Zone
Optimizes your cooking surface to your flow—with plenty of room for pots, pans, griddles and roasters of various shapes and sizes.
Charcoal Filter
(optional accessory) helps to neutralize unpleasant odors from the extraction system, reducing the chances of them lingering or being recirculated into your home.
Cleaner Air
Comes from a cutting-edge air extraction system featuring an automatic fan that adjusts to power level and an integrated filter to help remove unpleasant odors in recirculation mode to promote long-lasting freshness.
Control Lock For Cleaning
Disables cooking mode for 10 seconds to allow for cleaning when the cooktop is not in use. Press the hand icon to lock controls and easily wipe off grease or splatters.
Dishwasher-safe Grease Filter
Catches 96% of grease and holds both solids and liquids.
Energy Star® Certified
To exceed government standards to help save money on utility bills.
External Or Recirculating Venting Options
Allow for more flexibility on how your downdraft cooktop vents. Choose between external ventilation or convert to duct-free recirculation (kit sold separately), ideal for installation in an island.
Four Versatile Cooking Zones
Give you flexibility and control of your cooktop, allowing you to cook at four different temperatures simultaneously.
Frameless Design
Allows for flush installation for a seamless look, or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.
Hot-surface Indicator
Provides a clear signal that a cooking surface is on or still hot to the touch.
Maximizes Space
With a flush installation and hood-free design that allows you to customize your kitchen to your personal flow. Whether you want to connect with your friends and family while cooking or move your cooktop to an island—with this downdraft cooktop, you can have it all.
Pan Size Detection
Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. Display will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected zone or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.
Power Boost Function
Allows you to exceed the maximum heat-level setting for up to 5 minutes, helping you get to a rapid boil.
Power-on Indicator Light
Lets you know at a glance when a zone is on.
Powerful Extraction System
With downdraft ventilation that can adjust automatically to remove odors, steam and smoke 5x faster than steam can rise.
Quiet Ventilation Technology
Features efficient airflow technology and a precision-engineered low-noise fan. Its weight-balanced blades are the secret to a quiet yet powerful extraction, perfect for the modern, peaceful kitchen.*

Sliding Touch-activated Controls
Allow you to easily control your downdraft cooktop. An easy-to-use vertical slider allows you to seamlessly adjust temperature settings and offers a built-in timer function.
Works With Most High-quality Cookware
Such as multi-ply stainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron. Aluminum and copper cookware will not work unless it has a base made of iron or steel. Look for pans marked "Works with Induction" or test to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom.
