I am disappointed to see all these lousy reviews but our Kitchen Aid Microwave Model KCMS2055SSS-2 has stopped working. Lights up, been a great microwave but seems young to have problems. Label shows made in Aug. 2011 bit installed later.. Double Oven, fridge and Dishwasher all Kitchen Aid. We like the appliances, features, performance and design. Freinds have bought same Series after sering ours. What is solution?

The pushbutton door release has failed twice in the last 6 mos. I fixed it myself the first time, but I knew the design would cause it to fail again...and it did.

Great microwave while it worked, but I've been very disappointed in lifespan. A year ago one of the door interlock switches went out which we replaced. Then a few months ago another one when out so we went ahead and replaced the remaining one while we had it out. Now the control board just died on us and will cost more to fix than buy a new microwave! Not to mention that with this track record it would be our luck that something else would break in another month. We like the functionality of the microwave but definitely expected a lot more life from the price and a "high end" brand like KitchenAid.
