We wanted a mini fridge so that the kids could grab items used much more often without opening our main larger fridge; also for the summertime, we wanted them to be bale to grab ice from the bottom portion without opening the whole freezer (not a fan of ice/water on outside of refrigerator). My plan is working out well so far!
