We purchased this range to replace an old one that had a locked up fan. The fan at level 1 is quiet enough to continue watching TV or talking while you cook. The higher levels are a bit loud but WOW do they work and help keep food smells from going out of the kitchen! We love the sleek look of the underside of the hood, it definitely makes our kitchen look more modern. The lights are a great feature as well to help light the food up.

After looking at several other ventilation options, we decided on this unit. We like it's appearance and the relatively low profile. It provides excellent lighting, and the ventilation is great. The lower fan speeds are more adequate for most cooking needs. On high speed, it's fairly loud, as you might expect from a commercial-style ventilator, but, at that level, it not only takes care of cooking on the cook top, but also does a decent job of ventilating the kitchen, too. We've only used it at that speed when we needed some heavy-duty ventilation and didn't need to be in the kitchen. We're very happy with this ventilation system!
