After 9.5yrs the linear compress finally gave out. Goes to show what good maintenance does. Apparently those linear compressors don't last more than 5yrs and many go out within 2yrs. Nonetheless, the LG service tech was completely professional. He installed the updated compressor, programmed the CPU and was very efficient. He's a tech LG should pay handsomely. The fridge itself perfect for my family's needs. The one down side is the ice maker should be larger. A family of four can empty the ice within a day. It just doesn't make ice fast enough to replenish unfortunately.

We love our refrigerator. We like to entertain and the space this refrigerator offers works perfect for party platters. The width and depth offered in this model is great. The lighting is nice, door space is perfect, and we love the ease of using it. The freezer is also a perfect size and I like the different compartments. We have a 10 and 9 year old and they love the ease of using the water and ice machine. It is a nice refrigerator and every time we have company, they make a comment about how nice it is and immediately open it to take a closer look!

I love my new french door refrigerator, but there is a small leak of water inside coming from the ice maker when ice is being made. A service person found the problem and is ordering a part to fix it. Everything else is working well. It is so nice to have so much room, especially for wider or taller things. And I never knew I would love a drawer freezer so much. The three drawer system really helps me find things without having to search under and around other items.
