I have had this refrigerator for 2 months now. The installation and start up went very well. The refrigerator started producing ice within 45 minutes of turning on. The device is very reliable and easy to maintain. Some of the features are just great such as doors closing automatically if left ajar. The stainless steel surfaces also do not get smudged easily. The internal design is very streamlined and the controls very intuitive. The compartments for vegetables, fruit, meats and dairy products they are at an optimum temperature. I did extensive research of at least 6 other 42 inch wide brands before purchasing and found this to be the best value. The only criticism that I have for LG is that the detailed envelope dimensions of the refrigerator (exact dimensions and actual, detailed external shape), which are needed by user to plan a flawless installation are very hard to get. That was the factor that delayed my original purchase, because my kitchen cabinets had been designed to accept a competitor brand, which I am glad I did not buy. Otherwise, it is an excellent purchase and we are very happy with it.
