We have had this fridge for almost 2 years. It is the best fridge we have ever owned. It is our second LG fridge. The first one we bought several years ago for our vacation home and it is superb as well. Some time back, we ate hamburger that we had vacuum packed and stored in the freezer section for 5 years and it was still red and tasted great off the BBQ. Every thing I see online does not recommend easting food in the freezer 5 yrs old, but frozen is frozen and deep freeze is really frozen, so we defrosted it. It looked good and had no smell, so we cooked it up and it was great. that said, your results may vary so I am not advising eating 5 yr old frozen food. Also, We keep the freezer section well below zero and the refrigerated section between 35-39. Some time ago, I saw a commercial restaurant notice to employees to keep hot food above 140 degrees and cold food below 40 degrees and we have been using that guide in our kitchen at home with good success plus keeping the freezer well below zero. Our food keeps a very long time as a result.

LG is top of the line. The refrigerator had an issue with the ice maker. I contacted LG and they immediately sent someone out to fix the problem. Their service is the best I can ask for and I am super happy for their quick response.
