I bought this in the middle of summer and it has saved me so much discomfort and money. I previously had a aging portable Alen AC that was loud, bad on energy costs and barely cooled the room. This is a game changer! It cools not just the living room, but the whole apartment. It's very cost effective. My energy costs have gone down and considering I haven't turned it off since July, that's saying a lot. Our summers in Los Angeles really don't even start until August and can go through November. I love being able to clean it by just slipping out the filter. It's quiet, and the multiple settings are excellent.
