Actually have had this unit for 7 or 8 years and never experienced an issue until recently. The problem turned out to be a sensor, which would naturally degrade over time. So instead of a large repair cost for a new motor, the cost was relatively minor to replace the sensor. The service tech told me that in 10 years he has never had to replace an LG motor. Glad we bought LG for long term reliability.
