Our family had two previous sets of Maytag Washer and Dryer. Each previous set lasted 17 years. We bought our third set in December of 2010. The washer failed in less than 2 years. We have spent around $350.00 (total) for 3 separate repairs; now it has failed again. The problem lies in the sensor unit that is attached to the timer. We are now shopping for a new washer, but we are swearing off Maytag washers.
