I shopped online for 2 weeks, and only thing that came close was the Broan, which was very cheap looking. Had it for 7 years, and works as good as it ever did. I was skeptical in the beginning, but it was so worth the money. I only had 12" space in between my kitchen cabinets, so this product really saved me from taking out the garbage every day (to 1-1.5 times a week)

Our entire kitchen is GE Monogram and the fact that no one makes a 12 inch compactor is terrible. You should have made a replacement in this size for those of us who invested in you. We cannot replace with a different size without replacing cabinets and reconfiguring our kitchen. Your company was very shortsighted, not even considering those of us who buy your appliances.

After having a Kitchen Aid compactor for 15 years with no issues, we put in all new GE Monogram appliances in our new kitchen. Every one of them broke and had to be replaced within a month. The compactor broke and GE no longer makes this 12" compactor so it could not be replaced. It broke again and now they no longer even have the parts for it. So, we are left with a space in our kitchen with no compactor!
