This was a replacement for a defective KA retractable hood. The new hood seems to be performing well. It has restored my trust in KA. Great customer service.

Just finished installing our new downdraft fan along with new KitchenAid gas cooktop. Everything about the transaction has been great; timely shipping, helpful and courteous delivery team, good looking fan fit and finish. Clearly designed to work well with a gas cooktop without distrupting the flame, yet very effective at removing steam and odor.

The motor in the Old downdraft ventilation system failed which necessitated the replacement unit since the mtor for the old unit was no longer produced/avalable. New unit fit into dimensions of the countertop exactly Motor and fan unit was a little larger than the old unit, which took a little more space in the cabinet. However, the unit sticks up a little taller when activated and the fan is much stronger, so the end result is very positive!!
