Wow I just seen the reviews and it's crazy how all the reviews are all the same. I bought myn in red in 2013. I'm lucky I guess because I'm still using myn. I'm a single grandmother and I do laundry everyday. I can't afford to buy another one so I continue to use myn even though I have the same problems. It still washes my clothes but I put up with the loudness n the knocking. I love my set n if I had money I'd buy a new one. Nothing last forever but hey it's not only whirlpool.
