We bought this unit to hook up to our existing external vent. It has a very slim and sleek design with some bright LED lighting and 3 speeds to choose from. The low setting is so quiet, you can barely hear it. If needed, the other 2 speeds will vent any amount of smoke you might have while cooking. Love the extra room above the stovetop since we moved the microwave to the other side of the kitchen.

Had it for seven year. Now is time to change it since the odor of the cooking you can smell it in the house. Works great, but after a while it need to be clean or new replacement

This unit was installed into a brand new home and was the only option for undercabinet exhaust to the outside. I?ve had this unit for three months and it has had three separate blower motors. Each motor has been louder than the previous one. The flywheels or whatever they?re called are so out of balance that they all have vibrated and made a extremely loud banging noise while operating. The exhaust motor is located on the left side of the housing and the CFM?s are so low nothing is exhausted out. Let?s see if whirlpool posts this. I will also be posting these same review through social media sites. Never buy this product.
