Agitator or Impeller
Agitator models use a center post for aggressive mechanical action, which many people prefer for work clothes and heavy soil. Impeller models replace it with a low-profile disc, freeing interior space for bulky items and handling fabrics more gently. The choice follows what you wash most.

Easier Loading, Shorter Cycles
A top loader loads without bending, lets you add a forgotten item mid-cycle on many models, and generally runs shorter cycles than a front loader. It also does not require leaving a door ajar to prevent odor. The trade-off is higher water use, and it cannot be stacked.

SmartDispense and Cycles
